Industrial Inertial Collectors (or more commonly, cyclone filters, or simply cyclones) are high-performance, efficient, and simple systems for cleaning industrially polluted air and gases using centrifugal force. They contain no moving parts or mechanisms, which makes them highly reliable in operation.

The efficiency of cyclones depends on the dust fraction; however, for particles smaller than 20 µm, their efficiency drops sharply. Today, cyclones do not meet the requirements for cleaning aspiration and process gases on their own, so they are often used as a preliminary purification stage, with subsequent cleaning performed by higher-efficiency devices (such as electrostatic filters or bag filters). Cyclones can also be employed to protect equipment from excessive wear (e.g., in fume extractors) and from sparks or moisture (in bag filter systems).

Cyclone devices are widely used in the metallurgical, chemical, energy, wood processing, mining, and machine-building industries, as well as in grain processing and storage, furniture manufacturing, bulk building materials, fertilizer production, and the food industry within the agricultural sector.
